Opportunities include working with disadvantaged children, children with disabilities, community development, homeless adults shelters or professional support projects to name just a few.

Fundacion AFOS offers three basic programs:

Volunteering (2 weeks to 1 year): Designed for individuals who would like to contribute to one of the projects supported by Fundación AFOS.

Internships (4 weeks to 1 year): Designed for foreign students who wish to put their theoretical knowledge into practice in the wide variety of office or field projects. Internship areas include education, children and youth issues, micro-business, poverty reduction, employment, health, the disabled, public policy, women's rights, and more.
Fundacion AFOS plans and customizes each participant's program based on length of stay, lodging preferences, interests, Spanish level, university requirements, etc. in order to maximize both satisfaction and impact while here.

Spanish Courses: designed to enable students to immerse in the Argentine culture and to confidently involve themselves in any Spanish-speaking society. The classes start every Monday throughout the year. Courses are taught by native teachers highly experienced at all levels (basic, intermediate and advanced).

    Lodging:
Participants generally stay in our well kept house in the very quiet and safe middle class residential neighborhood which is less than 15 minutes walk to downtown and to the student district. This situation allows our participants to make friends fast and to immerse more easily in the local culture. The home accommodates guests in 2 beds per room and we can also arrange a private room or other accommodations for some additional cost.

    Health Insurance:
You must have health insurance during your stay with us.

  • Highlights

Argentina is a land of friendly people, amazing history, incredible scenery and natural resources, and a uniquely warm blend of South American and European culture. Modern Cordoba in particular is a veritable paradise for visitors with its combination of well-preserved history, the natural beauty of the surrounding Sierras, few international tourists, and a lack of serious crime. Unfortunately, since the economic collapse, Argentina is also a country suffering from great poverty and social displacement. For many of the people who live here, especially the young, disadvantaged, or disabled, life is a daily struggle.

Explore the cultural and natural beauty of Argentina while helping to improve the lives of its people in a challenging, rewarding and safe environment. Participate in a life changing experience!
