    Moto-Hakone Guest House is a small family style inn which is located a famous
    historical area by Lake Ashi.

    We'll make you feel very relaxed, just like a home away from home.

    We provide tatami-mats room, Futon beds and yukata (Japanese cotton bathrobe), to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

    This area offers spectacular views of Mt. Fuji and close to the Hakone Shrine, Cedar Avenue, Old Check Point and more, it is very convenient for sightseeing around those famous key places.

    We have no dinner service but Breakfast is available on an optional order basis (\840 each).

    *Moto-Hakone Gurst house does not have hotspring spa. But, there are Hotspring amusement park "YUNESSUN" nearby. It's takes 15 min by bus.

    Japanese Style Accommodation:
    All rooms are Japanese style without bathroom and toilet, but we have a communal bath and shower room which are available 24 hours a day. Tatami mats and Futon beds. We provide Yukata which are Japanese cotton bathrobes and towels. Our friendly atmosphere combined with traditional style will ensure a comfortable and restful night.

  • Location

    Our nearest bus stop's name(Ashinokoen-mae) will be changed to 'Oshiba' from April 1st 2009!!

    *For transportation, we recommend that you purchase a Japan Rail Pass in your country, this will save your much time and money while travelling in Japan. While in Hakone, you can also purchase a Hakone Weekday Pass or Hakone Free Pass.
    *Hakone Weekday Pass is not sold during holiday season. Hakone Free Pass can be bought through out the year.
    *JR Pass is not available in the Hakone region. So, the Hakone Free Pass is highly recommended.
    *The last bus leaving from Odawara station to 'Oshiba' bus stop is at 8:50 pm.
    *These Passes will save you money on almost all of the local transportation in the Hakone National Park.

    **Access from Narita Airport**
    If you have a Japan Rail Pass, you can take the Narita Express (JR) to Tokyo station. (It takes one hour to get to Tokyo station.) From Tokyo station, if you have a Japan Rail Pass you can take the JR Super Express train (Shinkansen=Kodama), directly to Odawara Station. It takes only 40 minutes. At Odawara Station take a bus from Bus Lane #3 towards Moto-Hakone (Terminal) and get off at 'Oshiba'. It takes approximately 55 minutes. We are a 1 minute walk from 'Oshiba' Bus Stop and there is an English sign on the corner to help you find your way.

    **Access from Tokyo Station**
    If you have a Japan Rail Pass you can take the JR Super Express train (Shinkansen=Kodama), directly to Odawara Station. It takes about 40 minutes. At Odawara Station take a bus from Bus Lane #3 towards Moto-Hakone (Terminal) and get off at 'Oshiba' Bus Stop. It takes approximately 55 minutes.
