Surf's up!

We had our first surfing lesson at the weekend and two local surf instructors had the challenge of teaching 8 newbies to surf. After some time practising on the beach, they decided to brave us in the water. And after many, many wipe outs, a few of us managed to stand, for a few seconds. The instructors provided water and fruit. The instructors themselves were very funny, encouraging and easy to get along with. That was by far one of my favourite days in the trip. The surfing itself was so much fun, I want to stay until I can become a pro !
Other highlights of my have been:
Meeting and spending time with everyone on the trip, jumping off a 7 meter bridge (lanquin, Guatemala) , climbing a volcano and roasting marshmallows at the summit (Antigua, Guatemala) , zip lining (Copan, Honduras) volcano boarding (Leon, Nicaragua), learning to dive (Utila, Honduras) and the best is yet to come, as next up we have four weeks in the jungle.
