Teaching English to children in a school for blind children on the outskirts of Hanoi will help you integrate with alternative communities and give you a privileged insight into Vietnamese culture and customs. In your spare time you can explore the exquisite Vietnamese countryside discovering picturesque landscapes, ancient temples, overgrown ruins, nature reserves and wildlife sanctuaries. You can even enjoy a range of adventurous sports, treks and hikes. Visit this perfect destination for an enjoyable and rewarding gap year adventure.
* What Will I Be Doing?
Working in the blind school you will have a real chance to improve the lives of your students. You will be encouraged to develop your teaching skills and techniques by creating a friendly environment in which the children can communicate in English. You will be expected to teach all aspects of English, including grammar, to your own classes as well as record spoken sentences and stories on tape for the students to listen to. You are likely to be directly involved in monitoring and evaluating the students' progress. As well as this you may have the opportunity to help with extracurricular activities, which will vary depending upon your personal skills and interests, and maintaining the school in a good condition.

Independently
To conserve the world's most endangered wildlife and threatened habitats and to build sustainable livelihoods for marginalized and under resourced communities in the world's poorest countries. To create solutions that are apolitical, forward-thinking, community-driven, and innovative and which take into consideration the long-term needs of low income communities.
