Experience Latin American fiesta spirit as you dance the night away in one of Venezuela's traditional live music bars, sample outstanding fresh fish as you watch the Caribbean sunset, spot river dolphins, caimans, or even big cats near the Rio Orinoco all this and more awaits you in this irresistible destination!
What Will Be Doing?
The typical day's work will involve teaching English to a large class of children aged between four and 14 years old. However, depending on your interests, level of Spanish, experience and any other skills you can offer, you can get involved in:
* Teaching English, maths or science classes in local schools, likely to be a large class of children aged between four and 14 years old
* Assisting with computer classes for children and teenagers at the local IT centre
* Organising special educational events
* Assisting teachers at the local music school or arts, craft and ceramics at the cultural centre and the Community & Therapy Centre
* Teaching simple wood work to young people at the Community & Therapy Centre or passing on vocational carpentry & building skills
* Helping with homework
* Helping to supervise recreational, developmental and therapeutic activities for children with special needs who visit our Community & Therapy Centre
* Helping with the Mobile School as a teacher's assistant
