Experience Latin American fiesta spirit as you dance the night away in one of Venezuela's traditional live music bars, sample outstanding fresh fish as you watch the Caribbean sunset, spot river dolphins, caimans, or even big cats near the Rio Orinoco all this and more awaits you in this irresistible destination!
* What Will I Be Doing?
You will be taking part in the medicine and healthcare program at the local hospital in Santa Elena. You will observe and assist doctors and nurses with their work, and depending on your skills and experience, will be able to give them a hand and possibly carry out your own tasks. You will help with the general care giving, comfort the patients and become part of the daily routine of a typical Latin American hospital. You might find yourself, for example, watching a caesarean in the operating theatre or working with a doctor on his rounds. You can help out in simple but practical ways, vastly increasing your own knowledge and understanding of medical practice. This project is ideal for those of you applying for medical school and requiring work experience and immersion in a healthcare environment to demonstrate your commitment and suitability.
* See some of the most striking terrain in South America.
* Vastly increase your knowledge & understanding of medical practice.
