Offering the most varied and striking terrain of almost any South American country, come to gorgeous Venezuela to see the Andes shrouded in snow, the tantalising Caribbean beaches where jungle cascades down to the shore, the indescribable depths of the vast Amazon rainforests, and the eerie beauty of Gran Sabana with its unique flat topped mountains.
* What Will I Be Doing?
You will be working on a number of local conservation projects and your daily work will be adapted to take account of your interests, experience and level of Spanish. There are many activities you can get involved in such as clearing and constructing footpaths in a nearby forest, clearing rubbish from the national park or looking after the project grounds by nurturing seedlings in the tree nursery, planting trees and maintaining the fruit and vegetable gardens. You can also participate in teaching or assisting with some of the local environmental education programmes.
You may also like to get to know the fascinating local flora and fauna by helping to develop a comprehensive species list of the wildlife in the Savannah park and biological reserve photographing, cataloging and recording as many species as possible and helping to build an educational trail for the local schoolchildren.
* See some of the most striking terrain in South America!
* Help to conserve some of Venezuela's rarest wildlife.
* Make lifelong friends.

Independently
To conserve the world's most endangered wildlife and threatened habitats and to build sustainable livelihoods for marginalized and under resourced communities in the world's poorest countries. To create solutions that are apolitical, forward-thinking, community-driven, and innovative and which take into consideration the long-term needs of low income communities.
