Nestled in the Peruvian Andes, in a mountain village that has been isolated from the world for thousands of years, you'll fight global warming and foster community development by building eco-friendly stoves, planting trees, and working with orphans. Forest hikes and lessons in traditional hand weaving will add magic to your experience, and exploring the country's mystical and enchanting peaks and some of the world's most awe-inspiring sights. Peru's vibrant colours and breathtaking scenery, outdone only by the friendliness of its people will offer you a unique glimpse of the past and a chance to shape the future.
* What Will I Be Doing?
Once settled, you will begin your month by visiting farming families, for whom you will construct specially designed stoves that burn healthier, cleaner, and more efficiently. The second phase involves planting 200 trees over the course of a week, necessary work to help reduce the impact of the world's carbon emissions, and to conserve the abundant biodiversity. Heading to the city of Cajamarca, you will spend the last 2 weeks working in an orphanage, helping to educate and care for them and protect them against the difficulties they face each day.
