Mozambique - the word evokes images of pristine stretches of coastline, beautiful terracotta tiled towns and fascinating Arab infused culture. However there is much more to this unique country than being simply an idyllic holiday destination. As well as providing a home for an incredible range of exotic wildlife, including elephant, lion, wild dog and primates, Mozambique's cultural heritage is a rich amalgamation of Portuguese, Asian and indigenous origins and traditions.
Mozambique's tumultuous past has resulted in social and economic challenges, and many of its more deprived citizens have suffered as a result. Through this project, you can bring the positive power of sports coaching to children who live on the margins of society. Surviving on very little and lacking in simple entitlements such as basic healthcare and education, they are unable to access the limited opportunities available.
