  • Description

Help educate children in Honduras by volunteering at a school that aims to provide life-changing education to the poor and underprivileged. You will experience the true warm culture and community spirit of this enchanting country. Work towards a TEFL certificate as you integrate yourself fully into the life of the school, living nearby and aiding local teaching staff in a project of international education. Enrich your trip further by using your spare time to explore some of the many activities open to you such as scuba diving on the country's spectacular coral reefs, or horseback riding along an empty white sand beach.

    * What Will I Be Doing?

You will be able to draw on your enthusiasm and creativity in developing classroom activities to expand the children's knowledge of the English language, along with other subjects such as maths, drama, and sports. Working both in the classroom and the playground you will provide the children with the friendship and guidance to build their confidence. Evenings and weekends are yours to enjoy as you wish and you can explore the area's natural beauty or simply swing in a hammock beneath a tropical sky. Should you wish to develop your skills further you can add evening Spanish classes to your experience, at extra cost, helping you bridge the gap between cultures and languages.
