  • Description

Gambia is a tiny fertile sliver of vast and varied Africa, but is no less appealing for its dainty size. It is characterised by the might of the eponymous Gambia river; this vast tract of water pierces the country through its heart and saturates the surrounding land with fresh water, ensuring flourishing ecosystems, forests brimming with every variety of flora and fauna, and an intriguing culture that has evolved from roots embedded in the artisanal fishing traditions. Visit this perfect pocket of an ancient continent to discover mysterious standing stones, tribal dancing, a dazzling array of wildlife and an African adventure that will be truly unforgettable!

    * What Will I Be Doing?

This teaching project is highly flexible. In The Gambia, both teachers and pupils alike can benefit from your skill and experience. You may be teaching English to adults and/or kids and those with the right skills can even train teachers. In addition, many learning resources such as toys, puzzles and games, have already been provided from abroad and help is needed in order to teach students how to make the most of these useful new materials.
