* What Will I Be Doing?
Your work schedule will involve planning, arranging and leading a variety of music and arts education lessons at several different schools in the area. As well as continuing this programme volunteers need to use their initiative to help improve, develop and broaden this new project to include more schools, different activities and to develop a plan for the future of the programme. If you need assistance in initiating any of these activities, the local staff will be more than happy to advise and assist you.
During your stay, you will have the opportunity to get to know both the teachers and students extremely well and this project will awaken the creativity and initiative of the students, the teaching staff and yourself! You will be welcomed at every turn by smiling and enthusiastic people - we cannot emphasise this enough! Whatever you decide, you are sure to gain huge satisfaction from helping and inspiring these underprivileged children whilst significantly enhancing your own skills and experience.
The school term runs from mid September until mid July, however even during the holiday periods vacation classes and programmes run and help at these is especially appreciated. Please let us know if you are planning to volunteer during school holidays and we will discuss your schedule with you.
