Visit the alluring and exotic country of Cambodia and discover its incredible combination of dramatic landscapes, captivating cultural and historical heritage, and friendly people. Make a positive and rewarding contribution to the lives of underprivileged communities, by bringing basic, life-giving amenities to deprived areas and enabling education of orphaned children. Visitors from the world over have fallen in love with Cambodia, with its enchanting and unique Asian culture, and complex and mystical ambience.
* What Will I Be Doing?
The community projects incorporate a number of different elements and you could be involved in any number of activities depending on what is needed when you arrive. However, one activity that is always in need of help is teaching and assisting in schools and orphanages. This is a fantastic opportunity to get close to the local children and make a real difference to their future prospects. It is also possible to gain your TEFL certificate with this teaching experience although please note that this is at an additional cost. Other possible projects may include building and construction work in the village, information and educational work focussing on food and nutrition, outreach activities aimed at improving basic sanitation awareness and maternal health workshops and childcare work in orphanages. You will be working closely with the project organisers who will give you a rare, behind the scenes, insight into the workings of a truly valuable and effective grass roots NGO.
* Make lifelong friendships.
* Make a huge and lasting difference to local communities.
* Discover this wondrous, little explored, corner of the world!
