  • Description

    The situation is dire and the suffering extreme in Haiti. There is a clear and desperate need for long-term assistance to address the vicious cycle of poverty, health care, environmental degradation and disease, which is guaranteed to intensify if nothing is done.

    Your assistance in Haiti is really needed and appreciated around the country.
    Our projects include relief for earthquake, flood and hurricanes victims, housing for the homeless, medicines and health care for the indigent, food for families suffering extreme malnutrition, and clean water for communities that have none, as well as micro-enterprise programs and other long-term development efforts to break the cycle of poverty.

    * Care and education for orphans and other vulnerable children
    * Sponsorship programs
    * Water supplies (wells, aqueducts) to parched villages

  • Highlights

    Volunteers and interns work in community projects,gaining firsthand knowledge of the complex development issues Haiti is facing. Participants have plenty of time to explore the country during the weekends.

  • Qualifications

    Anyone who has a growing desire to help the disadvantaged children is welcome. There are opportunities for singles, married couples, families with children, and retired adults, and young people coming alone.

  • Program Fees Include:

    * Airport Pickup: Volunteers are met at the airport in Port-au-Prince and provided with transportation to their guesthouse.
    * In-country Orientation: Each volunteer program starts with a two to three day orientation which covers important topics on the logistics of living and working in Port-au-Prince , city tours, help with transportation, and optional Creole classes
    * Accommodations: Volunteers will stay in a guesthouse where in they will be provided three meals each day. Residents of the communities are eager to welcome volunteers/interns and are a fantastic resource for learning about the local culture and sights.
