Discreet Zurich based fund manager and market leader in sustainable asset management is urgently seeking to hire a Head of Compliance to be based in their Zurich HQ, but manage compliance at a global level.

The Head of Compliance takes overall responsibility to ensure the fund management teams adhere to Swiss and international regulation. To ensure their success the Head of Compliance has a small team of compliance professionals based in Zurich and across the companies other international operations centres. Falling in to your remit will be the overall responsibility for the Legal & Compliance Department. You will use this team to advise all local and international business units in legal and compliance affairs. You will ensure the fulfilment of reporting obligations to regulators with specific compliance requirements, domestically and abroad. In this well paid Switzerland job you will also pro-actively implementation of Swiss and international regulatory developments in the asset management area into internal documents. Combined with this you will also draft, check, and negotiate all types of contracts, with a focus on the asset management business. You will be asked to also check and approve marketing materials from the compliance perspective. On occasion you will act as Corporate Secretary and take active participation in the Risk-Committee.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Head of Compliance vacancy you will have at least five years of working experience in a similar area and hold a Law degree. It would be beneficial if you gained this experience outside Switzerland and are experienced in international compliance. Furthermore you will have excellent written and oral business communication skills in both English and German. This Swiss fund job will require first rate skills in drafting contracts, in particular in the asset management area (for example, distribution agreements, investment advisory agreements, investment management agreements).
