Our client is a leading company specializing in Retail across Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. They have divisions including Supermarkets, Restaurants and Fashion Retail. They are currently expanding across the GCC region with new launches planned across various countries in prime locations.
We are looking for an experienced General Manager to manage the ongoing development of the Fashion Retail brand in their Supermarkets and Hypermarkets to be based in the tax free capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
Overview:
* To source new fashion products and merchandise while reviewing existing items to ensure products remain competitive and on target within the Supermarket fashion brand.
* To contribute to defining commercial strategy, implement, negotiate with suppliers, price Commercial according to guidelines and provide general support to the department as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implementing Department Strategy and Category plans, selecting brands and items and setting prices
* Setting targets and budgets for each commercial department in the Division
* Monitoring economic performance of the assigned departments/ categories across store formats - sales, gross margin, Profit & Loss - and consistency with the Company commercial strategy
* Implementing Corporate policies, procedures and standards and recommending refinements taking into consideration Country needs for approval by the Division Manager and the Corporate Team
* Defining and maintaining the local assortment and integrating the basic assortment for the Department/ Categories
* Managing other functions, Operations, Logistics and E&M as well as other areas in Commercial - Private label, Promo, Display, etc
* Contributing to the company Promotional activities as required
* Managing market prices and country price audits

Essential Requirements:
* Degree within a relevant subject
* At least 4 years experience within the Fashion department for a Supermarket
* Experience within the Middle East is preferred
* Computer literate with very good command of English
* Open to all nationalities - UK applicants very welcome with Supermarket Fashion experience
