Our client is a strong brand name within chain store shoe, footwear and accessories retail. With rapid expansion plans for 2012 they are an exciting multinational company to be a part of with reach across the entire GCC region.
We are looking for an experienced Head of Buying & Planning Manager to join their team in amazing, tax free Dubai.
Key Responsibilities:
* To manage fashion trends, market dynamics and competitor offerings to consistently evaluate departments product portfolio
* To manage the teams and get the best results for the 5 P's-Product, Price, Place, Promotion and Packaging.
* To manage the seasonal budget keeping in mind past performance, current trends and future events that may impact the business.
* To ensure subgroups/ Brands are purchased as per the budget and to monitor and review subgroup/Brand performance (alongside the merchandise planner) to minimise lost opportunities
* New business ideas and brand opportunities

Interview Details:
* Interviews to be held in London with the CEO and GM of the brand
* These will be either on 19th or 20th December in Marylebone
Essential Criteria:
* Solid experience in a speciality or departmental store format with emphasis on private labels
* Graduate in Fashion stream or Commerce welcome
* 10 years + experience
* Should have been in a similar role for at least 5 years
* Fashion retail experience for at least 2 years required
* Footwear experience very welcome - but not essential
* Open to people currently based in the UK who are available to travel to London for an interview as below 19th or 20th December
Key Skills:
* Knowledge of fashion trends
* Knowledge of buying and merchandising principles
* Ability to comprehend numerical data and strong negotiation skills
* Strong communicator with an ability to express views clearly and effectively
* Ability to multi task and interact with a diverse muticultural environment
* Team leadership and motivation skill set
