  • Description

    1. Day- Arrival
    Ariival in Zagreb, welcome meeting with other partecipitants of this tour, dinner and overnight.

    2. Day - Zagreb
    After breakfast we start with city tour of Zagreb, including including the fortified Upper Town, St. Marks's Church, the Stone Gate, the Cathedral, and the Croatian Archeological Museum, housing prehistoric, Greek, Roman and mediaeval collections, Lapidarius and a large numismatic collection. The Egyptian Collection includes the famous Zagreb Mummy with the longest Etruscan inscription on the linen wrapping, "The Etruscan Linen Book of Zagreb". In afternon departure towards Istria. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

    3. Day - Pula-Porec
    Breakfast, our tour we will start with visit of the Archeological Park of Nesactium (remains of prehistoric and Roman town) and Pula, with Roman Amphitheatre, Temple of Augustus, Triumphal Arch of Sergius, Gate of Hercules, Basilica of St. Maria Formosa (6th century), the Cathedral and Archeological Museum of Istria. After lunch time we proceed to Pore? for a visit to the 6th century Euphrasius Basilica,(UNESCO's World Cultural Monument). Dinner and overnight in hotel.

    4. Day - Senj-Nin-Zadar
    After breakfast departure to Senj to visit its Cathedral and the 16th century Renaissance fortress of Nehaj. Drive to Nin, the seat of the first Croatian prince Viaeslav with visit of two churches of unique pre-Romanesque architecture, the church of Holy Cross and St. Nicola's Church. Arriving in Zadar we start with walking tour which includes Roman Forum, St. Donatus Church, the Cathedral of St. Anastasia, Archeological Museum and the permanent exhibition "Gold and Silver of Zadar" in the Museum of Benedictine Monastery. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

    5. Day - Trogir-'Ibenik
    Breakfast departure for `ibenik to visit its Renaissance Cathedral of St. Jacob (UNESCO) annd the City Museum, fortress of St. Anne. In afternoon city tour of Trogir (UNESCO) with St. Lawrence Cathedral with its famous Romanesque portal dating from the 13th century, Benedictine Church and Monastery of St. Nicola and the pre-Romanesque church of St. Barbara. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

    6. Day - Split - Salona
    After breakfast walking tour of Split with its Diocletian's Palace (UNESCO), the Peristyle, Jupiter's Temple, the Cathedral and Museum of Croatian Archeological Monuments. After lunch time departure for Solin with visit of the Archeological Park with remains of the ancient Salona Tusculum Museum and Porta Caesarea, Forum, baths, city walls, Theatre and city necropolis with sarcophagus. Return to Split for dinner and overnight.

    7. Day - Narona - St.Vid-Ston
    Breakfast and departure towards Metkovic and Vid, the ancient settlement of Narona for a visit to the Archeological Park, including rest of the city walls, of the Forum, the church of St. Vitus with the Baptistery, and the new Archeological Museum built on the site of the Temple of Augustus. On the way to Dubrovnik we stop in Ston, with its 15th century city wall and fortresses and salt ponds. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

    8. Day - Dubrovnik
    The Old Town of Dubrovnik (UNESCO'), surrounded by ramparts and fortresses, is a treasure of architectural and cultural masterpieces, well preserved over the centuries.You will visit Franciscan Church and Monastery with the 3rd oldest pharmacy in Europe, Dominican Monastery and Museum, Rector's Palace, The Cathedral with its Treasury housing the relics of St. Blaise, St. Blaise's Church, Rupe Museum.and of course the 1940 meters long City Walls. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

    9. Day - Departure
    After breakfast departure.
