A typical volunteer has been a student who studied marketing or events or business and wishes to learn more about managing events or an organization that plans events. 30 hours a week is spent on research, building presentations and powerpoints, scheduling meetings and planning events and activities. At times, attending and engaging at events is required; also with partners, sponsors and program suppliers. The rest of the time is spent having fun, traveling, touring the country or spending time with the local community researching how to improve the organization.
