Extra Class language center is an international school located in the heart of St. Petersburg, the Cultural Capital of Russia, staffed by one of the most qualified and experienced teams of foreign language instruction in Russia.

Our instructors have taught students from EBRD, Citigroup, The International Committee of the Red Cross, The BBC, Der Spiegel, Credit Suisse, UBS, Holcim, Deloitte, foreign embassies and consulates in Russia, and leading US and European universities.

We provide courses at all levels. We have group courses with a maximum of 8 students per class and individual or two-to-one lessons. We are quite flexible in our programs and always ready to work out courses made to measure your specific needs and interests. Whether it is business, history, politics, culture, mass media or whatever you'd want to focus on, we either have or can design a goal-oriented course for you.

We have Russian coursebooks Poekhali! (Let's Go!) written by our school's director Stanislav Chernyshov and adopted by universities and language centers in Russia and abroad. The first "Poekhali!" has become the best selling coursebook for foreigners in Russia. Besides modern coursebooks, we use up-to-date authentic materials.

You can enjoy parties, boat trips, nightlife, excursions, picnics, cultural activities and a variety of other events organized by the school.

Small, but exclusive things like bottled spring drinking water, tea and coffee, Wi-Fi Internet access, 24/7 phone hotline (Russian, English, French and German) etc. are free for all course participants and reflect the spirit of Extra Class and its attitude towards its clients.

We are proud of our highly qualified teachers and our own practice-based programs recognized by language centers in many countries.

Our office is located in the historical centre of St. Petersburg! The renovation of the office, located in an over 100 y.o. building, took almost a year. Now we are happy to welcome new students to our Russian courses in these gorgeous premises equipped with wireless Wi-Fi Internet access and other modern fascilities, located in famous "Five Corners" area, a very atmospheric old part of the city, 5 minutes walk from Dostoyevsky's last flat, where he wrote "Brothers Karamasov", just opposite Rimsky-Korsakov museum, and next to the well-known Jazz Philarmonic Hall. Countless cafes, clubs and restaurans, varying from Russian and Ukranian to Chinese and Mexican cuisine, offer an excellent opportunity to spend the time left after Russian courses and your exciting sightseeing programme.
