Start your adventure with a 4-weeks TEFL course at the beautiful beach of Samara. Then launch into a guaranteed job which can be anywhere in Costa Rica. The schools pay you a rate of ca. 600 - 800 USD per month. This is 2.5 times more than a local would earn.

**Requirements**
In order to apply you need to be a native English speaker or have at least near-native English skills. You need to possess a Bachelor’s degree and be able to commit for 13 months (1 month course and 12 months teaching). Some schools also offer 6 months contracts. You need to have a real interest in Costa Rica and its culture.
It is not mandatory to know any Spanish beforehand but it would benefit you to start learning.
