I've been down here for a couple months now and I just wanted to give my two sense on Spanish schools in BsAs, since I've been through the search and found a great fit for me in Expanish. My Spanish was so-so before coming, but I hadn't taken a class since high school (7 years ago!)- they accept students of all levels and place you into an appropriate class once you take a level test. The classes are all very small-- I've had the same teacher and the same few classmates for a couple weeks now, and that kind of continuity defintiely helps when you're trying to learn a language!! The students here are super diverse, from all over the world, and all sorts of ages, so everyone fits in pretty well! The Expanish staff has aadded to the whole experience-- in general, I'vefounf them energetic, understanding, welcoming, etc. Every week they plan dinners, tours, short excursions. The coordinator I dealt with seemed super flexibile, so I had an easy time coordinating my schedule and arranging classes that worked with wht I had in mind. Check out the site if you haven't come across it already in your searches! www.expanish.com
My time with Expanish will always be remembered with positive feelings, I enjoyed te challenge of beginning to learn a new language - very foreign to me. Expanish made me feel very welcome and comfortable both in the classroom and out in the city, I enjoye forging new friendships. Expanish is guilty of making me fall in love with Buenos Aires! Thank you. Bruce.
My time with Expanish was well spent. The classes allowed me to improve my Spanish n a relaxed atmosphere. The extra activities offered allowed me to create a community for myself and make long-lasting friendship.
I chose Expanish because their web page emphasized the total student experience (safety, security, classes, social activities) and because of their quick response to my email and phone calls. The staff were very friendly, and the teacher was excellent. It was very easy to meet other students during the class breaks and at the weekly activities. I would register with Expanish again in the future.
Arriving in a new country can be a difficult situation, especially in a country where you do not know the language. Expanish has exceeded my expectations in regards to their educational process. Now when people talk I can actually understand them, that is, when they stop talking insanely fast.
Katie and I were looking for a refresher in Spanish and it was prefect. Edith was good at teaching us conversation and answered all our questions. It was perfect for our needs. Very accommodating.
My course with Expanish was brilliant. Class sizes were small allowing for individual anttention and tayloring of the course to suit the particular class. Staff were friendly and the social progamme was very beneficial. Buenos Aires was an amazing city and staying in a shared apartment was great. It gave me the opportunity to live as Argentinians would, shopping for food, enjoying dinner parties and practicing my Spanish. I'd love to stay longer and hope to study for one more week at another Expanish school on my travels.
Since arriving the staff and students have been incredibly friendly. It is a very social school and there are lots of activities and socials to enjoy alongside learning Spanish. I will definitely recommend Expanish to friends.
Expanish has been a great experience! The relaxed teaching style & incredibly friendly staff made learning easy & fun. Maria & Natalia were especially helpful & great fun. Many thanks!
The staff at Expanish has been extremely helpful and friendly, and the school location, right downtown, is a great plus for getting to know the city.
I had an excellent experience in Buenos Aires especially going through Expanish. It was nice that the program was very involved with everything and they helped out with everything we needed. The activities were very well planned out and enjoyable. The staff was very nice and personable. All in all the trip was amazing and a great decision to go through Expanish.

Mucho amor, Jessi Dear Expanish, I want to say thank you for everything you did for me here in Buenos Aires. Everything was lovely and I am especially grateful for my house. Juan, my roommate, was really nice and my room was also perfect. It was very comfortable and beautiful for me. The program was great. Jenn and Lety were really nice and helped with everything I needed. The workshops were lovely and I loved Marcos and the fileteado [painting] class. I have done many study abroad programs with other organizations before I found Expanish. With nearly all of them, I felt that I had no control over my experience or my activities and the directors of the program seemed to hide behind the scenes unless something drastic were to happen. Expanish functions like a student's primary appendage. They provide you with information that is more than helpful and they are always there to answer questions or help any students in need. The welcome packet alone has nearly everything a student needs to aptly navigate the city. Expanish is the only program that I have decided to use twice.
