  • Description

Our Language and Culture Center in Quito, Ecuador was established in 1989. Since then it has been implementing Spanish and Culture courses for hundreds individuals and groups of different ages from around the world each year. Our language courses are designed to meet the individual needs and objectives of each student and our personable, expert teachers know how to adapt to different learning styles as not everyone learns a language in the same way.

Our goal: to enable you to acquire the language skills necessary to communicate effectively in Spanish and gain insight into the Ecuadorian realities, many of which are common to other countries of Latin America. The integration of language and culture in our classes enhances the language learning experience because learning becomes interactive and meaningful.

We are located in a modern building in Ecuador's capital city, Quito, in a centrally located yet quiet residential area within walking distance of transportation, shopping centers, and restaurants. With us you will feel right at home as we pride ourselves on providing encouraging and personalized attention to each student. Our classrooms are comfortable, pleasant and cheerful. The mid-morning coffee break takes place in our ample cafeteria and socializing area both adjacent to a large terrace which offers spectacularly sweeping views of Quito and the snowcapped Andean volcanoes overlooking the city, so don't forget to bring your camera!

    Why Ecuador?

Because it is one of the most diverse countries in South America and offers not only a unique blend of cultures but also one of the continent's most varied and interesting landscapes and ecosystems.

Ecuador is really four countries in one, because of its geographical areas: The coastal lowlands slope gently up from the Pacific Ocean to the Andes Mountain range; the Sierra runs through the center of Ecuador, splitting the country in two with the impressive splendor of the Andes Mountains; the Oriente is a great jungle expanse and is part of the upper Amazon basin; the Galapagos Archipelago, one of the most wildly beautiful and outrageous places on earth.

A peaceful, democratic nation of 12.5 million people, Ecuador is the ideal country to experience Latin American culture and adventure.

Ecuadorians are known throughout South America for their clear pronunciation and use of Spanish diction, making Ecuador an excellent choice for studying the language.
Ecuador is a country of many cultures: the indigenous cultures of the Andes and the Amazon, the mestizo culture of Andean cities and towns, the cultures of port cities, fishing and farming villages along Ecuador's Pacific coast.
