  • Description

    It's no wonder why Europe is among many students' top choices to study abroad. The region is filled with fascinating cultures, languages, architecture, art, history, and so much more! GlobaLinks Learning Abroad, formerly known as EuroLearn, offers direct enrollment programs that give you the opportunity to choose from a range of academic areas, live and study alongside local students, and immerse yourself in European culture.

    Study abroad for a summer at Kingston University London in England with EuroLearn. Kingston University's Summer School is an exciting opportunity to take classes and explore British culture in four weeks. Numerous classes are available and all have a particular focus on England, London, or Britian, allowing you to study the local culture in class as well as experience all that it has to offer outside the classroom. Two optional weekend excursions (additional fee) allow students to journey beyond England to another European country or region.

    You will enroll in two classes. Classes are open to all current university students and are specifically designed for the Summer School study experience. They aim to minimize the amount of time spent in a classroom and maximize the amount of experiential learning in and around the London area.

    The following class offerings are projected for Summer:

    * British Art and Architecture
    * British Culture and Society (includes field trip)
    * Creative Writing in London
    * Exploring Cultural London
    * Provision of Healthcare: The British Model
    * Introduction to International Business
    * Live Theatre
    * London and its Literature
    * Multicultural London
    * Museums and Galleries
    * Shakespeare in London

  • Highlights

    British Culture and Society includes a field trip as part of the curriculum. Students not enrolling in this class still have the opportunity to participate in field trips, depending on space availability and on a fee per trip basis.

    Additionally, there will be two, optional four-day weekend excursions (additional fee) organized by the University. These excursions allow students to travel to mainland Europe, Ireland, or elsewhere in the UK through an organized group itinerary. The other two weekends provide free time for exploring London and the area closer to Kingston. Sample organized excursions include Instanbul, Scotland and Paris.

    U.S. University Transcript option is available through our School of Record, University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.

    GlobaLinks Learning Abroad staff in the U.S. and abroad are available 24 hours a day for support of students, parents, and advisors. In addition to our London-based Resident Director, GlobaLinks Learning Abroad provides bilingual support staff at several of our sites in Europe to ensure that assistance is available in times of need and crisis.
