Barcelona is a European city with an extraordinary life of its own and with a unique cultural character. Since the Olympic Games in 1992, Barcelona has experienced many innovative developments which have changed it into a modern city with a mixture of modernist and gothic architecture. While retaining its deep-rooted popular, gastronomic and cultural traditions, Barcelona is an important cosmopolitan city, situated between the sea and the mountains, offering a fascinating variety of activities and opportunities.

BCN Language School is in the immediate vicinity of the Ramblas, one of the most famous streets to stroll down in the whole world. The school, which is also used for locally-offered language courses attended by the inhabitants of the city, has a friendly atmosphere and also good facilities, with nine classrooms and a student lounge with a terrace.

The sea, the sun, the beaches or perhaps the Olympic harbor are some of the attractions that you will be able to combine with a high level of cultural activity. This includes the modernist art of Antonio Gaude, the Sagrada Familia, museums or the lively atmosphere that one finds along the Ramblas and on the Plaza de Catalunya, where you will find a fascinating programme of entertainment provided by a large number of different artists.

Every week we show a film in Spanish at the school and arrange dinners where you will be able to meet Spanish people who are learning other languages at BCN Languages.

Excursions:
Each week you will find a different selection of excursions to places in Catalunya: the Costa Brava, the Dale Museum in Figueres, the Monastery of Montserrat or the amusement parks of Tibidabo or Port Aventura.
