The courses are all distance-learning programmes which give you the flexibility to work at your own pace. Highlights

We are currently offering a free 100-page Grammar Guide and a teaching resource book from the Cambridge Handbooks for Language Teachers series 'Planning lessons and courses'. We also offer a certificate course (65-hour) in Teaching Business English accredited by the College of Teachers.

The most popular course we offer is the 150-hour TESOL program and our teachers go on to work all over the world. We also offer a 250-hour course for those who are very serious about teaching English. In addition, we offer a course on Teaching Business English as well as a course on Teaching English to Young Learners for those who complete our TESOL course or already hold an accredited TESOL certificate.

Our tutors are all very experienced with 20 or more years of teaching and training. Assessment is through assignments and there are 12 assignments altogether. All tutors send back comprehensive feedback on all assignments. There are no examinations.

The English Training Centre is an institutional member of the College of Teachers based at the Institute of Education, University of London.
