Description

We are seeking English native speakers to teach English during fall, winter, spring and summer holidays. Our language program combines teaching conversational English and theatre performance. During holidays you will work as a counselor. In addition, you can work as an assistant of Saint-Petersburgs stage director or actors in our theatre stage in the evening.

In general, you should teach Russian kids (aged 7-17 years). Besides, we invite kids from other countries or bilingual kids. Kids have a big desire to learn the English language and try their best to speak English as much as possible.

You have to speak with children around the day and give 2 lessons (no grammar, just conversation).

English lessons will be held in small groups with children of same age and same level of knowledge of English. There are about 10 children in each group. Teaching materials, copy machine, games and other teaching stuff is provided. Teaching is 1.5 hours daily.

Highlights

In camp: there are also different activities which the teachers are welcome to participate in (sport activity, games, voice training etc.). In the morning there will be calisthenics, which the English teachers attend and call out the exercises in English. At night there is a candle time, where kids share one-by-one what they enjoyed about that day. You have to eat all meals with the kids. You sit with the same table every day at a session of camp and get to know those kids quite well. Being at an English City camp is a unique experience!

Qualifications

- A Bachelor Degree in any field (no teaching experience needed)
- A friendly, adaptable, outgoing personality and a clear speaking voice.
