  • Description

    Believe it or not, summer is just around the corner, which - for your children - means two or three wide open months of time to fill! Even though summer break is a time to rest and enjoy time off, young bodies and minds thrive on activity, discovery and new experiences... and that's where summer camps come in!

    With youth proven to be the best time in a person's life to learn new skills, summer camps around the world have been conceived to reach out to youngsters' interests while simultaneously keeping them active between school years. With a perfect balance of educational classes, fun workshop, sports, activities and cultural excursions, our international language programs are an ideal way to keep your child or teen active, both physically and intellectually, between school years.

    Our summer camps provide kids and teens with an international atmosphere that fosters learning while also encouraging youngsters to make friends, discover new things and open their minds to a new and different culture. The Spanish skills they gain, not to mention the invaluable cultural awareness, will stimulate and open their young minds, provide them with an advantage over their peers in Spanish classes and encourage them to appreciate the world's diversity.

  • Highlights

    Location

    Sevilla is the capital of Andalucía and has a population of roughly 700,000. The historical influence of the Moors is still present in old Sevillan architecture today. This is seen most clearly in magnificant buildings like the Alcazar palaces and the cathedral, which is among the most spectacular in all of Spain. The famous customs and traditions of bullfighting and flamenco help make Sevilla an exciting and spectacular city for the language traveler.

    Special Junior Program

    The Sevilla Junior Program consists of 20 hours of Spanish classes per week according to their language level, which we determine on the first day with a placement test. The program also includes a variety of activities and excursions, ranging from Sevillanas dance classes and cooking lessons to trips to Matalascañas Beach, Cádiz and more!

    Outside of the school, teen participants enjoy an independent lifestyle, and are therefore responsible for getting to and from their commitments (classes, activities, meals, etc.). Students are also responsible for making their curfew, which is 11:30pm from Sunday to Thursday and 12:30am on Friday and Saturday.

    This independent lifestyle also means that, unlike in our other camps, afternoon activities and excursions are optional.

    Facilities

    Sevilla Junior Program participants will attend classes in the heart of the historic Santa Cruz neighborhood, just steps away from major Sevilla attractions like the Cathedral, the Alcázar, the Ayuntamiento (City Hall) and much more.

    Our school has modern facilities and is set in a building dating back to the early 20th century. Facilities include 12 air-conditioned classrooms, a roof deck, a meeting room and a multimedia classroom.

    Accommodations

    Participants may choose between staying with a host family or in a student residence. A full-board meal plan is included in both options, and both options enforce the nightly curfew; the school directors will be contacted should students break curfew.

    Students who choose the host family option will share a room with another teenager in a family located within walking distance from the school. The host family will provide students with 3 meals per day and will enforce the nightly curfew with which students are expected to comply.

    The residence in Sevilla is a modern building in the heart of the city's historic center, where our summer program participants will be just a quick 10-minute walk from our school. Students will stay in twin or dorm-style rooms, all of which have their own full bathrooms. Residence facilities also include a common room equipped with TV and DVD, air conditioning, laundry machines, free high-speed Internet and a common kitchen equipped with refrigerators, a microwave, kitchenware and anything else students might need.

    * Capacity: 80 students
    * Ages: 14 to 18 years old
    * International students only
    * 75% supervision
