  • Description

ELI works with Betanian nuns in the town of Cap St. Jacques in Vung Tau. The nuns work wtih disadvantaged children from the neighboring fishing village whose parents are too poor to pay for their school fees. Volunteers work with the nuns teaching English and playing with the children until their parents pick them up in the afternoons.

  • Highlights

This is a wonderful trip for volunteers who would like to spend time on the beach and relax while also benefitting a local community with a real need. The beaches in this area are known to be some of the most beautiful in Vietnam, and while the school is located in a more traditional Vietnamese area, tourist areas are easily accessible by bus.
