Study abroad in Ghana! ELI is excited to announce our Summer 2010 Study Abroad opportunity at the University of Ghana in Accra. The University of Ghana is one of the most prestigious universities in West Africa. This program is idea for students looking for a distinctive experience in a short term study program. Students can choose to stay between four and eight weeks depending on the number of courses they wish to take. This program is best for students interested in African Studies, Archaeology, Heritage Studies, Performing Arts and International Studies. The courses combines classroom lectures and field studies in the appropriate subject matter. Classes will focus on the culture and heritage of Ghana. It is recommended that each class is granted six US credit hours.

Highlights

Once students arrive they will be picked up from the airport and taken to the University dorms. The following day you will go through a detailed orientation to get you acquainted with your new home city and school! By participating in this program students will be immersed in local culture while earning credit towards their degree at home. Students can choose up to two of the three courses offered by the University of Ghana.

Ghana is a country know for it's colorful festivals, traditional dances and heart thumping music. Students will be able to experience all of Ghana's cultural richness by participating in this program!

ELI will provide you with the support you need prior to your departure, while you are abroad, and once you return. We will make sure you have all of the tools you need to make your study abroad experience as seamless as possible.
