    The art gallery internship in Florence, Italy is a once in a lifetime opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience managing an art gallery.

    Responsibilities include:
    * Coordinating opening night events including food, entertainment, and guest book
    * Enrollment in Italian language courses (cost is included in program fee)
    * Assisting gallery management with daily operations
    * Tracking and help schedule upcoming exhibits
    * Creating and sending out press releases
    * Communicating and coordinating with artist about upcoming events
    * Assisting artists and gallery managers on the installation of new exhibits
    * Ensuring exhibitions and installations are safe and in good condition by keeping regular hours

The intern will manage a gallery at one of Florence's most renown art schools, just minutes away from the Duomo and Baptistery. This is a tremendous opportunity to gain international work experience while networking with the 'Who's Who" in the international art community. Interns become part of a close knit community, gain invaluable experience, and will become well-equipped to own or manage art galleries throughout the world.

  • Qualifications

    * Bachelor of Art Art or Masters of Art degree or in a relevant field (contemporary art, studio art, art criticism, or art history).
    * Work experience in art or a gallery environment preferred.
    * Knowledge of the Italian language is preferred.

    Applications for this program are accepted on a rolling basis and the start date is flexible.
