This extensive wildlife management course combines an adventure-filled expedition with a learning experience through lectures, field work and interactions with wildlife conservationists. The main focus is on field techniques, sustainable resource utilization, ecosystem and biodiversity conservation, reserve and resort management, and hands-on game capture operations. The program is endorsed by the Centre for Wildlife Management, University of Pretoria (South Africa) and the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (Wildlife Management Education Program).
Program highlights are visits to various wildlife rehabilitation centers where orphaned and injured wild animals are treated and cared for before being released back into the wild. Life in the bush, learning practical bush skills, tracking wildlife on foot and study wildlife behavior is an experience of a lifetime. Travel through the spectacular Drakensberg Escarpment while descending to the world famous Kruger National Park and spend a few days in this wildlife wonder of Africa. Participate in adrenalin charged hands-on game capture few people ever get to experience.
