Description

Out of the mist of the past, rises the newest National Park of South Africa - Mapungubwe, at the meeting point of South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe. Home of ancient civilizations and birthplace of the recently discovered golden rhino-statue which lay undisturbed in a royal grave when Mapungubwe was abandoned by its king and people around the 1300's. It is thought the kingdom collapsed due to climatic change, a spectre facing modern mankind today.
