  • Description

    EESA-Ukraine is a one a kind program where students take classes in English, learn or improve the Russian or Ukrainian language, and attend one of the most prominent universities in Eastern Europe. There is no foreign language prerequisite to participate and courses are offered in English in the fields of economics, business, political science, history, international relations and cultural studies.

    EESA students will live in Kharkiv, Ukraine for a semester and have academic field trips to Moscow, Kyiv and historical and cultural sites within the Kharkiv region. Students will attend V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, which is one of the oldest and most prominent universities in Eastern Europe. It has graduated and employed three Nobel Prize winners. All of the EESA professors are faculty of Karazin University, have achieved Ph.D's and are recognized specialists in their field.

    The city of Kharkiv is an educational, scientific and cultural center of Ukraine. There are over 40 higher educational institutions in the city. Of all the universities in Kharkiv, Karazin University is the most prestigious and well known. The city's total student population is over 150,000. EESA students are provided with safe and comfortable housing very close to the University. EESA has a full-time center in Kharkiv that provides full support for students.

    Academic field trips to Moscow, Kyiv and other places of historical and cultural significance together with extensive student support network from the EESA Center in Kharkiv provide for an unforgettable, rewarding and unique study abroad experience.

    EESA merit and need-based scholarships of up to USD7,000 are available. Additional discounts and grants may be available for qualified applicants. Please contact us directly for more information. EESA-Ukraine qualifies both for Gilman and Boren scholarships, which could cover 100% of all program fees and personal expenses.
