Kids International School opened in 1997. KIS is an English Immersion preschool, located in Nagakute-cho, a suburb of Nagoya, which is in the heart of Japan. It was founded to provide children opportunities for international awareness from an early age in a safe and positive environment. We have four classes divided by ages: 1) 5 years old class, 2) 4 years old class, 3) 3 years old class, and 4) 2 years old class. There are 8-14 children in each class and they are from Japan, Canada, America, and other western countries. The Japanese teachers assist the foreign teachers. Last April of 2001, we opened a new school building in Nagakute-cho, Aichi-gun which is also a suburb of Nagoya and is close to nature but easily accessible to the city.
