- Must be 18 and over, with valid passport and health insurance.
- Volunteers should be open, flexible, patient, caring passionate, creative and come with a spirit of collaboration and solidarity.
- Interest in social work, public health, early childhood education and social justice a plus.
- Volunteers with a high intermediate to advanced level of Spanish are requested to help assist teachers in the school as this sustainability curriculum is replicated throughout the city.
- Skills such as music, art, and ESL are also valued to diversify the curriculum in these underserved, rural schools.
- Minimum commitment of six months for teachers. Other opportunities to volunteer with animal care and crop/composting maintenance at nearby organic farm are also an option for shorter term volunteers.

Program Fees Include:

Airport pickup, homestay accommodations with two meals/day, health/safety/cultural orientation, program supervision, and 24 hour staff support.

Fees do not include airfare, insurance, any VISA fees. And optional one on one Spanish classes can be arranged for an extra fee.
