Participants collaborate with professional researchers conducting on-going research projects with conservation ramifications. In addition to collecting important data, students explore unique and sometimes threatened ecosystems in an effort to learn more about them and how best to protect them at home and abroad. Additionally, students are taught that every individual can make a positive difference in the world.
Galapagos - Ecuador: Giant tortoises, marine iguanas, and other incredible Galapagos animals; collaborating with the Galapagos National Park; working with juvenile Galapagos tortoises; snorkeling in the Galapagos Marine Reserve; hiking volcanoes, beaches, and cloud forests; visiting the 'Mitad del Mundo' monument; and traveling by boat between these remote islands.
