EPI offers 9 - 14 day residential experiential education field programs that focus on science education, conservation, and intercultural exchange. Participants collaborate with professional researchers conducting on-going research projects with conservation ramifications. In addition to collecting important data, students explore unique and sometimes threatened ecosystems in an effort to learn more about them and how best to protect them at home and abroad. Additionally, students are taught that every individual can make a positive difference in the world.
Baja - Island Ecology: Data collection while snorkeling; camping on an uninhabited island; swimming with sea lions; cultural exploration in the 'Sierra de la Laguna' mountain range; interacting with local students; exploration of marine, intertidal, and desert ecosystems, and eating some of the tastiest food on the planet!
