  • Description

This French language immersion program is linked to the University of Grenoble and is one of the most famous centers in France for language learning. The school welcomes almost 3,000 people every year including not only traditional students, but also teachers-in-training and business professionals who need to learn French for their work. The quality of the courses is high thanks to varied and specialized teaching methods and a team is responsible on-site for care and housing, education, daily life of foreign students and the organization of cultural and athletic activities. Each student has access to the media room, language laboratory, university libraries, etc.

Students have a choice between the Intensive French program or the French Language and Culture program.
-Intensive French consists of 20 hours of instruction per week and the focus is on improving students' expressive capabilities, both oral and written. A variety of activities based on authentic documents (newspaper articles, ads, comics, literature, videos...) ensure that students get a feel for the language that goes beyond normal classroom topics.
-French Language and Culture consists of 20 hours a week and is designed for more advanced students (beginners not accepted) who want to learn more about France and French culture. 10 hours of French lessons each week are complemented with 10 hours of optional workshops (such as Written Expression, Oral Expression, Contemporary French Civilization, Literature of the 19th and 20th centuries, Business and Tourism French, Translation, French for European and International Actors)

  • Highlights

Our accommodation is in one of two student dormitories situated directly on the university campus. Rooms include bathroom, fridge and bedding. Each dormitory is equipped with laundry facilities and shared kitchens. Additionally, students can use the university cafeteria at student prices.
Alternatively, upon student request, we can arrange a French host family, depending on availability.

A diverse program of culture and leisure activities is prepared for students, depending on the season and current local events.
Examples of activities include international mixers, visits to the theater, or athletic activities (volleyball, tennis, hiking in the mountains, rock climbing, soccer, canoing or kayaking, windsurfing, skiing, ice skating...). Examples of excursions include a guided tour of Grenoble, day trips to Annecy, Aix-en-Provence, Vecors Massif, Marseille, Lyon, Charmonix, Chartreuse and Avignon. • Easy Languages's Mission Statement

In this steadily shrinking world where studies and employment are taking an increasingly international tilt, active knowledge of foreign languages is becoming an indispensable skill for students, business people, and even tourists. These skills, however, are extremely difficult to acquire at home. A stay among native speakers of the target languages not only facilitates the learning process, but most experts agree that it is essential to becoming a truly fluent speaker. With over 15 years of experience in organizing journeys abroad to study languages, we here at Easy Languages offer a range of courses for every age group, time line and budget. Our students participate in everything from week long holiday trips to England to year long exchanges in Costa Rica. As opposed to the majority of organizations offering services similar to ours, we do not charge any administrative price supplements. There are no hidden costs in any of our programs. All of our prices are clearly displayed in one convenient, readable table directly on the summary page of each program. We are a company that values honesty and believes that full disclosure is part of that commitment.
