This program is one of the best possible investments a student can make for his or her future; total immersion in France is not only the best way to learn the language, but also to have a true multi-cultural experience. Students are considered as members of their French host family and share in the daily life of the family. By attending school and participating in daily activities available, students discover the French culture and history in a unique way that cannot be gained from school books. This kind of experience is enriching, not only on a linguistic level, but also for the students personal development.

Participants attend classes in a normal French high school. The schools are chosen for their academic and social interest in hosting exchange students. Students follow the normal course material for the school that they attend, including some obligatory classes and some electives. The schools are selected carefully to ensure the best possible environment for the students.

Highlights

The host family is probably the most important element of such programs. It is for this reason that we pay special attention to their selection. Our host families are all volunteers who wish to share their lives and culture with a foreign student. Families are selected based on multiple interviews and references and they take an active role in the selection of their student.

A placement may be anywhere in France, in small towns or large cities. Regardless of the location, however, students live out their French experience in a warm, welcoming family.

There is a local representative who is an experienced coordinator and knows the host families and frequently contacts students and families. He or she meets with both entities on a regular basis to assure that everything is going well at the school and in the family. The representative is available 24/7 for the student, in case of any problem.
