TEFL Certification

Our 4 week intensive TEFL certification course will prepare you to teach children and adults. This internationally recognized certificate will enable you to travel the world and make a living as an English teacher. Not only will you become fully qualified to teach English as a foreign language, you will also experience one of the oldest cultures in Mexico while living with a local family at no extra cost to you.

Spanish Courses

The intensive Spanish courses are all taught in a total immersion environment, and let you experience the language and culture of the oldest town in Chiapas. All the courses include homestay with a local family and you will have enough time to enjoy workshops given in the local cultural center at no extra cost. We have programs for children, teenagers, and adults, and we can customize the courses to fit your time frame and needs.

Language Exchange Program

This is a popular program here at Dunham Institute. We hire 3 TEFL certified teachers per semester who will receive 2 hours of Spanish language instruction and free home stay in exchange for teaching English 3.5 hours a day to children and adults. You will leave an experienced teacher and with a diploma certifying your level of Spanish.

Highlights

As either a teacher or a student at Dunham Institute you may find that you have free time on the weekends or the afternoons. There are workshops and classes at the cultural centers that will teach you of the local traditions and art work, and lots of outdoor activities to fill your time.

Qualifications

You must be TEFL certified to participate in our language exchange program. You can become TEFL certified with us and then go on to teach all over the world.
