  • Description

The core Medical Practice & Policy course (Human Health & Disease: A Clinical Approach) is taught by senior doctors at hospitals in Copenhagen, and provides privileged access to a number of hospital departments and laboratories. This unique course is one of DIS' most popular, and our alumni rave about impressing their med school interviewers with tales from DIS. In addition to this core course, take MPP electives - examine the governmentally-controlled, free health care system in Denmark; discuss the criteria for evaluating the consequences of biotechnology and biomedicine; learn more about the biology, epidemiology, diagnostics and progression of cancer and HIV/AIDS; study the clinical manifestations of obesity, cardiovascular diseases, smoking, and diabetes...and more.

  • Highlights

Study tours take you to Berlin-Poznan, Sweden-Tallin or Budapest-Vienna (your choice) to examine different health care systems and how these systems affect patient care.
