  • Description

Developing World Connections volunteers who choose to have a meaningful adventure in Cambodia will work towards sustainable development side in the rural area of Kep. After 30 years of violence and oppression under the Khmer Rouge regime, Cambodians are making a valiant attempt to rebuild their communities and livelihoods and to create the foundation for a civil society. In collaboration with our host partner, Bridges Across Borders Cambodia, volunteers will support locally driven projects that involve food security, resource conservation, literacy and vocational training. One of the most satisfying projects is working side by side with locals to build 'Dream Homes' for families chosen by the community.

  • Highlights

Volunteers benefit from working in a group, which offers the sense of team work and group accomplishment. Volunteers work with and alongside locals. By working together, one benefits from a real sense of global citizenship and solidarity. All experiences are led by an experienced team leader who helps facilitate the experience. Volunteers benefit from the lasting friendships developed and from the life changing impact of such a unique and meaningful experience. Participants may choose to spend time afterwards exploring some of the most beautiful scenery, exotic sites and rich cultural heritage of Cambodia.
