Program Fees Include:
You won't have to sleep in a hut or survive on energy bars the entire trip. We take great care to pre-screen your accommodations so they are clean, comfortable, and acceptable by North American standards. Restaurants providing everything from local to Western cuisine are chosen for their high standards in food preparation. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated.
Program cost is approximately $2,300 CDN. These costs include in-country meals, accommodation and transport, as well as a substantial direct donation to the host partner, UBUNTU. This cost does NOT include airfare; however, the entire amount paid through Developing World Connections, flight included, is eligible for a charitable tax receipt in Canada.
You can also fundraise for your trip costs and all donations of $20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt from DWC. Also included: access to a dedicated travel agent, issuance of charitable receipts, administrative resources, bottled water, trained team leader, cultural components, and 24/7 staff support.

Anyone with an open mind, an adventurous spirit, and a caring soul. Families. Singles. Couples. Adults. Youth. We have had volunteers range in age from 16 to 83 years old and their backgrounds have been as different as their ages. No special skills are required and if you have physical limitations, you can work according to your ability.
