  • Description

    This course is designed to bridge the language and culture gaps for international students who wish to go on to study at D&A in the higher certificate and diploma level courses. It prepares students not only by arming them with English language but also provides the analysis, planning and research skills required to undertake a course in arts and design.

    It prepares students with a broad range of design and art methods and skills, and with the English language and study skills and methods necessary for successful study in design and art courses at D&A. This course is suitable for students whose English is at least IELTS 4.5 or above who wish to gain confidence, knowledge and skills to study Arts or Design.

    * Academic Pathway

    Students who complete the Certificate in Design and Arts Preparation course successfully will be accepted for any certificate or diploma course offered at the Design and Arts College of New Zealand (except Architecture).*

    *Academic entry requirements must be met before acceptance into some courses.
