Delta Language School's program focuses on the Spanish language and on cultural immersion in Santander, Spain, capital of the Cantabria region. It is an elegant resort city with beaches and nearby mountains. In fact Santander is the port of Castillia: the only costal city in the region. It is the perfect year-round site to learn Spanish: beautiful scenery, mild temperatures, and a pure Spanish accent. It is important to study in a city were the local dialect is clearly spoken and as Santander is located in Castillia. where pure Spanish is spoken, progress can be made more rapidly.

These programs are designed to provide the student a rich cultural and social experience, while at the same time being academically relevant and intellectually stimulating. Intensive learning, in small groups and individual tutorials, is thus combined with a full social program, including sport, local visits and trips to places of historical interest.

Delta Language School also has Spanish study programs in Santander for adult students. It is a fully accredited school with a reputation for providing a blend of high-level language instruction, a friendly atmosphere and a wide range of services.

Highlights

Specially designed for high school, college and university students groups, this study program allows teachers and their groups to experience a tailor-made Spanish language immersion and offers a full schedule of language lessons, sports, leisure and cultural activities. Students have language lessons in the mornings and activities in the afternoon. The emphasis is put on the safety and the supervision of the students. Activities are organized so they can explore the region, have fun and learn the Spanish language.

Accommodation is arranged in selected host families. Oftentimes there are teenagers of a similar age in the host family, but the experience is also about connecting with every member of the family, the parents, younger children and even grandparents. This helps to gain the most from the immersion experience. Futhermore, some students may wish to live with a family located close to the school, whilst others may prefer a family having certain hobbies or interests, like sports etc.

Delta Language School makes very careful checks when finding host families for students and does everything possible to match the students with families having similar hobbies and interests, and/or sharing the same outlook on life. Foremost, Delta aims to offer all a warm and supportive environment and to consider the preferences of students when selecting host families.

Delta Language School always takes the time and effort to find the best host family for a student and during the stay the Delta team is on-call twenty-four hours per day to assist students in any way needed.

To provide optimal experiences that combine learning inside and outside the classroom and the learning of the Spanish language and knowledge of Spanish culture. By "culture" we mean not only the "high" culture one finds in such areas as literature, art, music, drama, and the like, but also the "popular" culture which one finds in every aspect of daily life.
