  • Description

The center aims at creating perfect conditions for natural sustainable living. As it introduces smart agricultural systems and modeling natural ecologies as means of conserving water, limiting pollution, composting and increasing diversity. Since obviously the major problem is water scarcity and the drop in the level of Dead Sea water level, it is the main reason behind the imbalance between nature, agriculture and industry.

    * You will leave with us as part of the family.
    * Eat with us, sleep at our house and help us preserving valuable resources from nature. You will be able to get to know our culture, traditional food and will learn some Arabic if you like.
    * On your free days you or we can explore the canyons surrounding us and visit the famous dead sea close to us.
    * You can of course make tours to Petra or Amman.

  • Dead Sea Harmony Center's Mission Statement

Our objective is to promote water conservation and sustainable living in the Dead Sea area by educating the local community about environmental issues and the benefits of using permaculture methods. We would like to provide a functioning reproducable example of a green household including a permaculture garden, a gray water system and sustainable buildings. We would also like to offer workshops, discussions and video screenings for those who are interested, with a special focus on children, youth, and women. We also want to promote learning through cultural exchange by hosting international volunteers and offering free English classes.
