Darfield High School is a New Zealand State Co-educational High School which offers international students the opportunity to study and learn English in a safe and friendly environment. The school is situated near the magnificent Southern Alps - 25 minutes from Christchurch International Airport and 40 minutes from the centre of Christchurch City. International students enjoy living and studying in a rural environment, without the distractions of the city, whilst still having access to the city and all the outdoor activities our environment offers.

Darfield High School and the local community have been hosting international students for over ten years. Close and long lasting relationships have been formed between international students and their host families along with students at school and people in the local community. Our teaching staff are well qualified, friendly and always willing to assist and encourage all our international students.

We welcome international students from many countries around the world. Students coming to our school for an English education are prepared academically for entry into university in their country of origin and/or in New Zealand.

Students who choose to experience outdoor education will be offered experiences that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
