Once upon a time&
DSU trained teachers in Dakota Territory in the late 19th century. But as times change, DSU changes with them, and we now offer 38 undergraduate and graduate degrees, each integrating high technology in its own way. These days, the rewards go to those who process and present information creatively, no matter the subject area. Oh, and we still turn out the best teachers, too.

University Attributes

Dakota State University offers a distinct learning advantage based on its mission to integrate computer science and information systems technology throughout all academic programs. On-campus consists of four centrally located residence halls. Campus activities include a wide range of intramural athletics, music, band, theatre programs, student organizations, and the Student Association Senate. The Body Shop, a state-of-the-art wellness center, is staffed and managed by professionals who assist all students in setting up personal fitness programs.

Academic Facilities-

Dakota State's academic facilities include the Karl E. Mundt Library, which has direct on-line catalog access to more than 1.9 million resources from 30 state run library systems throughout the Midwest. DSU also has access to more than 150 information databases. There are more than 600 fully networked PCs on the DSU campus. Students also have the option of connecting their own computer to the University network from
their dorm room.
