  • Description

    Cultural Embrace by API organizes internships throughout Brazil for students in a variety of professional fields. Examples listed below are a guide of where we have already made placements: Food and Catering, Graphic Arts, Non-Profit Associations, Car industry, Financial services, Tourism, Cinema and Entertainment, Communication/Media, Consulting, Sports, Distribution, Publishing, Marketing, Business associations, Law firms, Hotels/Restaurants, Computing/IT, Real estate, Laboratories, Fashion, Shipping, Leisure, NGO's, Opticians, Auxiliary Medical services, Media and News agencies, Promotion and Sales, Insurance, Transportation and logistic, Services, Educational Centers and Universities, etc.

    The minimum time needed for this program is 8 weeks. Portuguese or Spanish language skills are useful but not required. Optional Portuguese language lessons are available if desired. Our local partners will provide the necessary paperwork to provide for the required Temporary Visa Item I to live and work in Brazil.

  • Highlights

    * Internship Offer Prior to Departure
    Cultural Embrace by API provides an internship offer that matches your requested preferences. At your work site, you will have an Immediate Supervisor offering training and guidance.

    * Housing
    Cultural Embrace by API includes a private room with a carefully selected and pre-screened host family. Breakfast is prepared for you each morning. Please note a surcharge may be added during the summer and Carnival months as these places become more expensive for the local families.)

    * Visa Assistance
    All interns travel on a tourist visa to Brazil. Your coordinator will give you instructions and let you know the process for applying.

    * Arrival Assistance
    Airport pick-up and transfer is included upon your arrival. Introductions to host company.

    * Arrival Orientation
    You will receive pertinent information regarding local transportation, banking, and safety. You will also receive tips on travel, communications, and social and outdoor activities. Finally, you will be familiarized with the code of conduct and expectations for your internship.

    * Medical, Life and Travel Insurance
    Medical and life insurance is provided for all participants during the program term. This insurance coverage includes medical evacuation and repatriation, as well as 24-hour support services for medical and travel issues.

    * Cultural Embrace by API "Culture Kit"
    Before your departure, we send you a packet filled with useful tips, advice, and information to prepare you for the amazing adventure of living and working abroad.

    * Cultural Activities & Excursions
    Enjoy occasional social, cultural activities and excursions with locals and other interns. Some ex-cursions may require additional transportation and entrance fees.

    * Full-time Representation
    Cultural Embrace by API provides representation in the United States and Brazil prior to, during, and after your placement.

    * Be 21-30 years of age
    * Enjoy providing a service and working with others in a challenging environment
    * Have experience or education in field of internship
    * Be open to foreign cultures and living abroad
    * Possess a high level of responsibility
    * Be dedicated to the full term of commitment
